iOS Game of the Week: Modern Conflict

The last thing that this app screams is flashy. The graphics are nothing special and the gameplay’s basic but the game is amazing. The objective of this game is to take over all of the bases and it’s no way near as easy at it sounds. Modern Conflict is a game that requires a lot of strategy and the sweet feeling of success upon completing some of the harder missions is priceless.

When I first saw this game I really didn’t think I’d like it but I downloaded the Lite version anyway, just to try it. (I’ll put the links in at the bottom) Lets just say…I got addicted. You can play as 3 nations: USA, China, and Russia, as well as 3 difficulties: Recruit, Veteran, and Elite. Each nation presents different gameplay styles as well as posing various difficulties.

To best learn the diverse array or rules and tricks, I reccomend to go through the lengthy tutorial in the game. Even if you aren’t so great at first it seems that you always end up getting some kind of back-up, last hope aid sent in from out of nowhere. It’s got a crazy high replay value mainly because each mission plays differently each time. Overall, the more you play it, the more you enjoy it since you just keep getting better and better.

I highly reccomend this to any type of mobile gamer out there. Although I prefer the iPad version, there is a seperate iPhone version available. (note: Game Center support only available in Full versions)

iPhone: Full ($0.99), Lite

iPad: Full ($2.99), Lite
